We know that when it comes to IT service, IT support and IT solutions one size certainly doesn’t fit all. Every company has different needs at different times: a change in business focus perhaps, an expansion or even an office move?
At OCD, we know you want reliable systems that allow your business to flourish with the least amount of fuss. By understanding exactly what you need AND what you don’t, we can ensure that technology is helping your company to achieve its goals.
Take Kilgraston School for Girls. It felt “restricted” by an off-the-shelf IT solution that wasn’t suitable for a modern, independent school. OCD was selected from a host of potential suppliers – including the incumbent – to deliver a flexible, 21st century IT system tailored specifically to meet the school’s educational and administrative needs. We delivered exactly what Kilgarston was looking for on time, to budget and to specification.
“From the start it was clear that OCD were going to deliver not just a better technical solution, but a higher and more focused level of service. We would confidently recommend OCD to other independent schools,” says David Hewitt, the school’s IT manager.
Sometimes IT infrastructure simply has to change because your business has. The Glasgow Alliance brings the public, private and voluntary sector together to help deliver more joined up public services. But as the organisation evolved into Glasgow Community Planning Limited (GCPL) with nine offices across the city, its IT function was anything but joined up.
OCD was tasked with devising an IT strategy that would streamline the running and management of IT across all of GCPL. That was almost a decade ago and as GCPL’s Jim Gray reflects: “In a nearly 10 year business relationship, you learn a lot about a supplier. Indeed the length of the relationship speaks volumes about the quality and professionalism of the team at OCD.”
We are self-confessed IT geeks and proud of it. But not everyone shares our enthusiasm for modems and Microsoft. When law firm David Devine & Company was moving office it began looking for an IT company to develop and support its telephone and computer systems. “We aren’t in any way technical,” explains boss David Devine, “We’re lawyers. What we really needed was an IT partner that would understand how our business works, identify our technology needs and then simply get on with providing for them”.
So that’s exactly what we did. As with all similar projects, we built and tested the entire IT offer before the office move so the phone systems, data connections and computer network were up and ready to go on the big day.
We installed a remote monitoring system ensuring that if any problems arise, we usually know about it before David and his team, and very often fix problems before there’s any effect on the company. The law firm hasn’t experienced any unplanned server downtime in the three years since then.
All of our projects are managed with the upmost level of care and attention to detail. The examples above are just a snapshot of the kinds of IT solutions we can deliver – we are ready to discuss how we can help your business fulfil its potential.
